Lower Dale Farm was originally built in 1719 and has been both a dairy/beef and chicken farm in the past.
We have lived at Lower Dale since 1993, having renovated the old “Farm Colony” cottage into our current home. We have most recently done likewise with the egg sorting room “Egg Room”, which acts as garage, storage and extra accommodation for our three horses, Tymor Gypsy, Mighty Joe, Candy and for ourselves.
The farm remains a working farm and we have a dozen or so chickens, goats, the usual selection of farm cats and our Dalmatian Elspeth completes the list.
We aim to provide a safe and happy environment for both you and your horse; our goal is to create a friendly atmosphere whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and care.
Our working team is headed by ourselves, with three part-time grooms, one full-time groom, and at least one full-time student, undertaking equestrian studies.
